Staff Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Berlin or Munich office; London office; remote in Germany or the UK. Travel to customer sites may be required up to 25%.

What you will do

• Lead complex customer engagements and make architecture decisions across hirify.global’s platform and enterprise systems.
• Build integrations and capabilities not covered by AMP, including systems of record, telephony, contact-center integrations, state management, data readiness, retrieval, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Own production readiness, observability, incident playbooks, security, access control, audit trails, and data handling for enterprise-scale traffic.
• Prototype new capabilities, evaluate whether they should become part of the core product, and support account expansion and renewals.
• Mentor Product Engineers, participate in interviewing and hiring, and establish standards for validating AI-assisted development.
• Work directly with customer principal engineers, architects, security leaders, and commercial teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience delivering production systems end to end.
• 5+ years leading the design and architecture of large-scale production systems in customer-facing or enterprise environments.
• Fluency in TypeScript or Python, or the ability to become productive quickly.
• Experience leading agentic, spec-driven development in production and validating coding-agent output before release.
• Experience with strategic enterprise accounts, long-term customer engagements, or fast product experiments.
• Strong mentoring, customer communication, ambiguity-management, and technical leadership skills; strong spoken and written English required.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying LLM-powered systems used by real users in production.
• Hands-on experience with evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, RAG, prompt engineering, or multi-agent orchestration.
• Founder, founding-engineer, forward-deployed, solutions-engineering, product-engineering, or strategic-partner experience.
• Experience with voice or conversational AI, contact centers, telephony, CCaaS, or regulated industries.
