What you will do

• Support the build, configuration, and maintenance of server infrastructure and storage solutions.
• Perform security remediation, including system patching, vulnerability identification, and network security improvements.
• Assist with virtualisation platforms and cloud-based environments.
• Support the security and reliability of data science and server infrastructure in line with Information Security guidance.
• Follow technical standards and maintain documentation while collaborating with Infrastructure and Information Security teams.

Requirements

• Currently studying a STEM degree with a 12-month placement, targeting a 2:1 or higher, or a STEM Master's degree.
• Relevant studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a similar field.
• Strong attention to detail and a systematic, logical approach to complex problem-solving.
• Curiosity about how systems work and how they can fail.
• Clear communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivation, ambition, and willingness to learn collaboratively.
