Senior Backend Software Engineer (Node.js)

Location: Israel, hybrid work based in the Tel Aviv office with 2 office days per week

What you will do

• Build, own, and operate foundational backend services for the hirify.global Construction Cloud Platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable Node.js backend services.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle, from architecture and development through deployment and production operations.
• Build cloud-based solutions using AWS and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes with Jenkins.
• Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture decisions, technical discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on backend development.
• Extensive production experience with Node.js and scalable, reliable distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, cloud-native application development, CI/CD, DevOps, and Jenkins.
• Practical experience using AI tools and AI-assisted software development workflows.
• Experience with Git or an equivalent distributed version control system.
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience designing backend architecture for large-scale cloud platforms.
• Experience with microservices, observability, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience using AI-based tools to improve engineering productivity, workflows, or software quality.
