Software Engineer (Python)

Location: Hybrid at Azrieli Sarona, Tel Aviv, Israel

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and operate backend services for the hirify.global Stance security platform.
• Shape microservices, data models, event flows, and system architecture through design documentation and technical trade-offs.
• Ship new capabilities and integrations safely using feature flags, gradual rollouts, and backward-compatible changes.
• Build tested, reliable user-facing features and maintain performance, correctness, and smooth user experiences at scale.
• Own observability through logs, metrics, traces, and alerts; investigate distributed production issues and participate in on-call support.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA experts, architects, and engineers, contributing to React code when needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience, preferably with Python.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, such as SNS/SQS, Dapr, Kafka, or similar technologies.
• Production ownership experience, including system design, service operation, and user-facing applications at scale.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, RESTful APIs, data modeling, relational databases, and query performance.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and production monitoring and debugging using logs, metrics, distributed tracing, and alerting tools.
• Excellent communication in Hebrew and English; hybrid work in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Nice to have

• Frontend experience with React.
• Workflow orchestration with Orkes/Conductor, Temporal, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity or networking.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases.
• Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineers.
