Principal Solutions Architect (Commerce)

Location: London, United Kingdom. Hybrid work with office attendance averaging four days per week.

What you will do

• Design end-to-end enterprise commerce architectures across web, mobile, commerce platforms, data, ERP, and back-office systems.
• Lead discovery workshops, client engagements, governance activities, proposals, pitches, and solution handovers.
• Guide platform selection and replatforming across Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, HCL, and composable MACH solutions.
• Design enterprise-scale integrations with ERP, order management, product information, customer data, analytics, payments, search, and content systems.
• Shape mobile and omnichannel commerce strategies across native, cross-platform, headless, store, and marketplace channels.
• Build business cases, value models, roadmaps, demo storefronts, and proofs of concept while supporting delivery assurance.

Requirements

• Extensive senior experience in enterprise commerce across retail, consumer brands, or B2B environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, composable architecture, and MACH components.
• Proven presales and new-business experience, including significant commerce deals, workshops, proposals, and senior-level presentations.
• Hands-on understanding of ERP, order management, product information, customer data, analytics, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong mobile commerce architecture knowledge, excellent diagramming and communication skills, and the ability to build demos or prototypes.
• Commercial ability to connect technology decisions with revenue, conversion, margin, cost, and return on investment.

Nice to have

• Adobe Commerce, Salesforce B2C Commerce, Shopify, MACH, or AWS certifications.
• Experience with order management, product information management, marketplace platforms, B2B commerce, and complex pricing structures.
• Knowledge of agentic commerce standards such as ACP, AP2, and A2A, plus practical AI in commerce.
• Experience with total cost of ownership modelling, business cases, C4 models, or diagrams as code.
