Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Seattle, USA; hybrid working model required

Salary: $140,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize foundational microservices and infrastructure powering customer-facing financial products.
• Improve platform resilience through failure-tolerant architectures, retries, circuit breakers, fallbacks, and automated recovery.
• Identify bottlenecks, improve system efficiency, and support continued growth while maintaining high availability.
• Implement monitoring, observability, and incident-response improvements.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and other business units on financial solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, preferably in fintech.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, web services, and REST APIs.
• Experience or familiarity with Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Knowledge of payment systems, financial disbursements, compliance-driven platforms, security protocols, and KYC/AML processes.
• Must be based in Seattle, USA, work in a hybrid model, and be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment systems, financial disbursement solutions, or compliance-driven platforms.
• Experience with Python, Flask or FastAPI, Redis, SQL, gRPC, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, New Relic, or PagerDuty.
• Equivalent technical competencies and a willingness to learn new technologies.
