Senior Software Engineer (Argentina) (Fintech)

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina. Currently fully remote, with a planned transition to a hybrid setup.

What you will do

• Architect and implement high-performance backend microservices, including core components of the chat platform.
• Build, deploy, and iterate on chatbot services and conversational interfaces for remittance products.
• Design and manage infrastructure supporting millions of daily requests and real-time messaging.
• Develop backend services using REST, SOAP, gRPC, and Google Cloud services.
• Collaborate with product, UX/UI, and business teams while mentoring junior developers.
• Use customer feedback and analytics to improve chatbot effectiveness and conversational user experiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, web services, and scalable software development.
• Experience with architectural patterns including Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Experience building chatbots, conversational interfaces, or integrating natural language processing tools.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher required.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, prioritize work, learn continuously, and contribute innovative ideas.

Nice to have

• Experience with Dialogflow, IBM Watson, Rasa, or similar chatbot frameworks.
• Fintech experience or equivalent domain competencies.
