What you will do

• Own the architecture and delivery of customer-facing Rust backend services for trading, payments, and crypto experiences.
• Turn ambiguous, multi-quarter problems into shipped and measured products, enabling parallel execution across the team.
• Own features end to end, including customer experience, frontend impact, APIs, and product outcomes.
• Partner with product leadership to shape roadmaps, priorities, and success metrics.
• Drive initiatives across trading infrastructure, platform, and product teams.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, unblock delivery, and establish reusable engineering standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Deep Rust proficiency across network services, asynchronous code, and distributed systems.
• Experience with RPC protocols, Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
• Production ownership of systems and architectural decisions, including understanding of trade-offs.
• Experience shipping product features from problem definition through launch and measurable user impact.
• Experience mentoring engineers, influencing technical standards, and leading cross-team work.

Nice to have

• Full-stack experience with React, TypeScript, or other frontend frameworks.
• Cryptocurrency or blockchain domain knowledge.
• Experience scaling consumer-focused products at significant user scale.
• Experience introducing AI tooling or workflows to an engineering team.
