Senior Director, Reagent Operations (Diagnostics Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Chaska, Minnesota, United States. Ability to travel 30–40% globally as required.

Annual salary: $190,000–$220,000, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead overall reagent manufacturing operations and the full manufacturing team at the Chaska site.
• Set strategic direction for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, financial performance, and customer objectives.
• Build and retain high-performing teams through accountability, inclusion, continuous learning, and talent development.
• Drive Lean operations, continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and sustainable business results.
• Manage operating and capital budgets, labor, expenses, manufacturing variances, and resource allocation.
• Partner with Operations, Materials, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and EHS leaders on investigations, compliance, innovation, and future capacity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Biomedical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, plus 15+ years of relevant experience.
• 10+ years managing people in GMP environments and developing a culture of compliance.
• 10+ years of immunoassay manufacturing experience and experience representing manufacturing in the PSI/S&OP process.
• 10+ years driving Lean manufacturing and continuous process improvement, including root-cause analysis and tools such as 5 Whys.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent experience with Lean principles, DMAIC, performance metrics, daily management systems, and organizational change.
• Strong financial, operational, influencing, stakeholder-management, and cross-functional leadership skills, including experience with financial statements, P&Ls, investment evaluation, and capital expenditure cases.

Nice to have

• Experience using technology, data, digitization, and AI to drive business results.
• Experience leading large-scale manufacturing transformations, new product introductions, technology transfers, site expansions, or capacity optimization in regulated healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences environments.
