Freelance AI Data Project Manager (NYC / LA - On-Site)

What you will do

• Own delivery projects across data quality, timelines, unit economics, and stakeholder transparency.
• Lead virtual cross-functional teams of engineers, supply managers, and other specialists.
• Coordinate client communication, internal operations, planning, status updates, and retrospectives.
• Identify and resolve project risks and delivery issues proactively.
• Drive process improvements, team adoption, and organizational efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience leading technical cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from discovery through implementation and adoption.
• Client-facing experience and the ability to switch quickly between domains and subjects.
• Strong understanding of LLMs and their lifecycle.
• Experience in AI, data generation, and managing teams or projects at scale.
• Proactive approach to suggesting and implementing process improvements.
