System Engineer, Queensland (Storage)

Location: Remote, based in Queensland, Australia; regular travel required to meet customers, partners, and internal stakeholders

What you will do

• Lead technical pre-sales and adoption of hirify.global solutions for enterprise accounts in Queensland.
• Understand customer business goals and translate requirements into measurable technology outcomes and innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with account managers, specialists, channel partners, marketing, product teams, and leadership to drive revenue and new business.
• Lead evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, interoperability testing, and performance validation.
• Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations and secure technical wins with customers and prospects.
• Author RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses while developing solution positioning and technical marketing materials.

Requirements

• Pre-sales experience covering Queensland customers and at least 5 years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.
• Experience supporting enterprise sales of storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software solutions.
• Deep knowledge of storage architectures and technologies including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, DAS, and distributed storage.
• Experience with Linux, NFS file systems, distributed computing, VMware, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, on-premises and public cloud environments, provisioning automation, and containers.
• Technical degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, modern web architecture, LAMP, and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Knowledge of storage-intensive applications, structured databases, SQL, and Oracle.
