TL;DR
System Administrator (Defence & Security) (Linux/security): Building and maintaining secure, automated internal IT environments for defence and security software development with an accent on Linux administration, infrastructure automation, and system reliability. Focus on hardening environments, solving networking and authentication issues, and supporting secure development operations onsite in Helsinki.
Location: Helsinki, Finland. Onsite work is required, with limited hybrid working possibilities. Finnish citizenship is required, and the selected candidate must complete a security clearance process.

What you will do
- Build and maintain secure internal IT systems supporting defence and security development work.
- Develop and improve automation for system maintenance and infrastructure operations.
- Ensure environments remain secure, compliant, stable, and reliable.
- Collaborate with consultants, developers, and stakeholders to solve complex technical issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, networks, and automation, while documenting systems and sharing knowledge.
- Contribute to day-to-day operations and longer-term infrastructure planning.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, including Ubuntu, CentOS, or similar systems.
- Understanding of IP networking, VPNs, firewalls, certificate management, and authentication mechanisms.
- Hands-on scripting experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar tools.
- Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken.
- Finnish citizenship, successful security clearance, and onsite availability in Helsinki are required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Ansible or similar automation tools.
- Experience administering Windows and macOS desktops.
- Coding experience with TypeScript, Python, or Go.
