Network Systems Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Deploy, maintain, and optimize Linux-based routing using BIRD, OSPF, BGP, ECMP, and IPsec.
• Manage networking on Proxmox and bare-metal infrastructure, including LACP bonding, Linux bridges, VLANs, and virtualization networks.
• Design and maintain secure hybrid connectivity between on-premise clusters, AWS VPCs, and multiple data centers.
• Automate network provisioning and configuration with Ansible, Terraform, shell scripting, and related tooling.
• Implement firewall rules, security groups, and microsegmentation while monitoring throughput, latency, and routing stability.
• Support internal teams and data center vendors, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and maintain infrastructure documentation and asset registries.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, technical support, or a related role.
• Strong Linux networking knowledge, including netlink, namespaces, high-speed interface performance, LACP, VLAN tagging, bonding, OSPF/BGP, firewalls, VPNs, and BIRD.
• Hands-on experience with AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and Site-to-Site IPsec VPNs.
• Experience with Linux systems, shell commands, basic scripting, Ansible, Terraform, and virtualization technologies such as KVM or VMware.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with Debian-based systems, Docker, and Kubernetes.
