Digital & Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship (Applied Data Science)

Location: Broughton, North Wales, United Kingdom; on-the-job training at the hirify.global manufacturing site with day-release study at Bangor University and local colleges. The programme starts in September 2027 and lasts three years.

Salary: £23,245 per year.

What you will do

• Gather requirements from logistics and manufacturing specialists and translate business needs into IT solutions.
• Support Agile product management, continuous improvement, and digital Product Backlog activities using SAFe.
• Learn to configure SAP ECC/HANA modules, including SAP Fiori, HANA, and Warehouse Management solutions.
• Develop, test, document, customize, and integrate software and digital tools for manufacturing operations.
• Participate in data analytics and AI-powered tool initiatives to improve manufacturing performance and IT product development.
• Support deployments across Broughton and other manufacturing sites, including user readiness and training.

Requirements

• Education: qualifying A-Levels, BTEC, Cambridge Technical, Access to HE, Welsh Baccalaureate, or equivalent qualifications, including Maths, Science, or IT/Digital subjects.
• GCSEs: grade 4/C or above in Maths and English Language.
• Applicants with undergraduate degrees in computing or IT are not eligible for the funded programme.
• Self-motivation, strong communication and listening skills, flexibility, organization, and the ability to manage priorities.
• Programming, data visualization, or cloud platform familiarity is beneficial but not required.
• Right to work: current legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom for the full duration of the programme is required. Candidates must pass BPSS screening and may require UK SC security clearance or Export Control approval.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python, SQL, JavaScript, Power BI, Tableau, Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Interest in Internet of Things, mobile applications, data analytics, cybersecurity, generative AI, and future technology.
