Digital & Technology Solutions Plant Degree Apprenticeship (Applied Data Science)

Location: Broughton, North Wales, United Kingdom. The role is based at the hirify.global aircraft manufacturing site and includes day-release study travel to a college in North Wales. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom for the full three-year programme.

Salary: £23,245 per year.

hirify.global is an aircraft manufacturer offering a three-year Digital and Technology Solutions apprenticeship combining workplace experience with a fully funded BSc (Hons) in Applied Data Science at Bangor University.

What you will do

• Work on data analytics projects that improve manufacturing performance and generate actionable insights from complex datasets.
• Research, evaluate, and develop digital and AI-powered tools for IT product development.
• Contribute to the analysis, design, testing, and integration of IT solutions.
• Develop and customize software solutions for evolving business needs.
• Manage projects from requirements gathering and technical specification through solution architecture, documentation, and delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, quality, operations, cybersecurity, IT solutions, and help desk teams, with opportunities for cross-functional placements.

Requirements

• Minimum of three A-Levels at grade C/4 or above, including at least one subject in Maths, Science, or IT; equivalent BTEC, Cambridge Technical, Access to HE, Welsh Baccalaureate, or validated experience may also qualify.
• GCSEs at grade 4/C or above in Maths and English Language.
• Applicants with undergraduate degrees in computing or IT are not eligible for this funded programme.
• Self-motivation, strong communication and listening skills, flexibility, organization, and the ability to manage priorities.
• Submit a CV with predicted or achieved grades and a cover letter explaining motivation and suitability.
• Successful candidates must pass a BPSS check and may need UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control approval.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Google Workspace and digital technology.
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, JavaScript, Power BI, Tableau, Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Interest in Internet of Things, mobile apps, data analytics, cybersecurity, Generative AI, and future technology.
