Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship (Aerospace)

Location: Filton, Bristol, United Kingdom. Industry-based work takes place at the hirify.global aircraft manufacturing site, alongside university learning on day release.

hirify.global is an aircraft manufacturer offering a four-year Digital and Technology Solutions degree apprenticeship with workplace experience across engineering and business functions.

What you will do

• Assist with defining future IT products and services and validating product designs.
• Participate in application development, integration, validation, and production activities.
• Align technology architecture with organisational business goals.
• Help define IT policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Gather requirements, create technical and architecture documentation, and manage project timelines.
• Work with engineering, design, quality, operations, cyber security, IT solutions, helpdesk, supply chain, and logistics teams.

Requirements

• Three A-Levels at grade C/4 or above, preferably in Maths, Sciences, or IT; or a relevant T Level at Merit or above; or a relevant BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at MMM; equivalent qualifications may be validated.
• At least four GCSEs including English Language and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Applicants with undergraduate degrees in computing or IT are not eligible for the funded programme.
• Interest in ICT, digital technology, the Internet of Things, mobile apps, data analytics, and future technology.
• Ability to work in a team, develop independently, manage problems, produce documentation, and complete testing.
• Current legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom for the full duration of the programme is required. The apprenticeship does not support visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge of IT product design and development.
• Knowledge of information and knowledge management and component integration.
• Experience with C++, JavaScript, or Python.
