Senior Java Full Stack Developer

Location: 100% remote within the United States; Naperville, Illinois listed.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 annually.

What you will do

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and production-quality code.
• Build and operate cloud-native services throughout their full operational lifecycle.
• Develop Java and Spring-based backend services and clean RESTful APIs.
• Build responsive, component-driven front-end applications with React.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and developers in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of professional experience building production-grade enterprise applications; the position specifies 8+ years of experience.
• Advanced Java 11/17 and Spring Boot experience, including RESTful API design.
• Production experience with microservices, service decomposition, inter-service communication, observability, and system design.
• Professional React experience, strong SQL and relational database skills, and experience with query tuning and schema design.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, debugging, and root-cause analysis. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Event-driven architecture experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent platforms.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of eventual consistency, CAP trade-offs, idempotency, and saga patterns.
• Experience with automated testing, test-driven development, and behavior-driven development.
• Familiarity with Angular or Vue.
