Junior Full Stack Developer (Java/AWS)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States, or Washington, DC. The position is contingent upon funding and public trust suitability processing.

What you will do

• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle within Agile DevSecOps teams.
• Analyze software requirements and help design enterprise application solutions.
• Develop and maintain frontend interfaces, REST APIs, data access layers, and web services.
• Build, test, implement, and maintain scalable applications in AWS-based environments.
• Support containerized microservices and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners, and stakeholders to improve delivery and engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Engineering, or a comparable combination of certifications and experience.
• At least 2 years of information technology experience focused on development, DevSecOps, and application development.
• At least 1 year of experience deploying enterprise applications on AWS.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, JPA, JavaScript frameworks, web-based full stack development, Docker, and automated testing.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust clearance are required.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and work in a fast-paced Agile delivery environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS tools, microservices, Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift, EKS, or AKS, and Jenkins.
• Experience with React, Angular, Vue, jQuery, HTML, CSS, JSON, SOAP/XML, and REST/JSON services.
• Experience with Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ, AMQP, relational databases, Liquibase, Flyway, ElasticSearch, or Solr/Lucene.
• Experience with secure development and scanning tools including Fortify, SonarQube, ZAP, and Twistlock/Anchore.
• Experience with ATDD frameworks such as Selenium, Nightwatch, Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
