Software Engineer 2 / Full Stack Java (Java)

Location: Hybrid in Irving, Texas, or Chandler, Arizona; working onsite three days per week is mandatory.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.
• Build backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs with Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop responsive front-end applications with React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Support cloud-native applications and use Python for automation, scripting, data processing, or AI/ML initiatives.
• Apply secure coding, software design patterns, and performance optimization techniques.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least two years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
• At least two years of hands-on Java and Spring Boot development experience.
• Experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with React and modern front-end development frameworks; Angular experience is also valuable.
• Working knowledge of Python, cloud-native application development, secure coding, design patterns, and application performance optimization.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional and distributed teams, with strong communication and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• Google Cloud Platform experience.
• Kubernetes or OpenShift Container Platform experience.
• Apache Spark or other distributed data-processing experience.
• Experience with GCP-based AI/ML services and containerized cloud-native architectures.
