Associate, Software Engineer (Embedded)

Location: Clifton, New Jersey; additional listed location: Clinton, Maryland. Job schedule: 9/80, with every other Friday off.

Salary range: $75,500–$140,500 annually in applicable locations, including New Jersey and the Greater D.C. area.

What you will do

• Develop and test embedded software for real-time control and system performance.
• Support requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing across the software development lifecycle.
• Develop software test procedures, programs, and technical documentation.
• Design and evaluate hardware/software interfaces and operational performance requirements with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Use modeling tools, conduct experimental tests, evaluate results, and resolve software defects.
• Participate in peer reviews and support integration of software for advanced tactical radio equipment.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, information security, or a related field, or have completed one within the last 12 months.
• Experience or academic ability to apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis principles to software development.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, or Qt.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, or embedded real-time operating systems such as VxWorks, QNX, Integrity, or Windows CE.
• Some positions may require a security clearance, which can only be granted to U.S. citizens.
