Quality Assurance Associate II (Aerospace)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

What you will do

• Execute quality control processes for purchased products, manufacturing operations, and customer requirements.
• Inspect parts, electronic assemblies, and finished high-reliability products using approved procedures, specifications, drawings, and measurement equipment.
• Program, maintain, and operate CMMs, metrology arms, XRF and X-Ray equipment, and automated visual inspection systems.
• Perform calibration and metrology activities for equipment and tools used by Quality, Production, and Test.
• Manage nonconforming material, corrective actions, audit findings, and root-cause investigations using 8D methodologies.
• Lead cross-functional improvement efforts, maintain inspection processes, and report quality metrics.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing quality, metrology, and failure analysis.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
• Experience in aerospace, electronics, defense, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CMMs, metrology arms, Keyence systems, calibration systems, or similar inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systems, engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions.
• Strong analytical, communication, attention-to-detail, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive or medical device manufacturing.
• J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification.
