Precision Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite

Salary: $35.00–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform in-process and final inspections of spacecraft and engine hardware, including electrical, mechanical, structural, and propulsion assemblies.
• Use engineering drawings, CAD models, measuring devices, metrology equipment, and established processes to verify conformance.
• Identify, document, and resolve production and test anomalies, including non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Work with CMM programmers and engineering departments to address quality issues.
• Support quality management system documentation, compliance assessments, Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and continual improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of inspection experience in aerospace, aviation, military, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience with quality assurance principles, inspection methods, and production processes.
• Knowledge of safety programs and OSHA requirements.
• Practical experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Must be eligible to work under U.S. export regulations, either as a U.S. Person or as a person eligible to obtain an applicable export license.

Nice to have

• Six or more years of hands-on experience with spaceflight hardware.
• Three or more years of experience with metrology or CMM hardware.
• Experience performing electronic testing and inspections with portable measuring devices.
