Quality Engineer (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite at the Cincinnati, Ohio facility; U.S. citizenship required for a security clearance

What you will do

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and other measurement tools.
• Support First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102 and assist with CMM inspection using PC-DMIS or similar software.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles in CNC machining and production inspection activities.
• Collect and organize inspection data for quality reports, control plans, customer documentation, and SPC monitoring.
• Document nonconforming material, support root cause analysis, and collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality teams to resolve routine issues.
• Maintain calibration records, inspection plans, work instructions, QMS documentation, and audit-readiness materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering-related roles.
• Working knowledge of inspection principles, manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and basic GD&T.
• Experience with dimensional inspection tools, First Article Inspection, SPC concepts, and basic CMM operation is required or expected.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in CNC machining or aerospace manufacturing.
• Exposure to AS9100 audits, CAPA, root cause investigations, ERP systems, or QMS systems.
• Experience with advanced GD&T, optical comparators, or other metrology equipment.
• Interest in developing independent inspection planning and problem-solving responsibility.
