Turnkey / Comprehensive Solutions Project Manager (HVAC)

Location: Latham, New York; based out of the Albany or Syracuse office. Onsite Monday through Thursday, with flexible work location on Fridays. Travel to customer job sites within a 2–5-hour radius and occasional overnight travel is required.

Annual base salary: $97,406.66–$156,200.00.

What you will do

• Manage multi-million-dollar construction projects from initiation through commissioning, turnover, and close-out.
• Lead projects involving HVAC upgrades, central plant improvements, building automation, lighting retrofits, controls integration, electrification, decarbonization, and renewable energy support systems.
• Develop and maintain master schedules, milestone plans, look-aheads, recovery plans, budgets, forecasts, cash-flow plans, and change management processes.
• Select and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, project superintendents, field support, Operations, Sales, and Service teams.
• Lead owner, subcontractor, progress review, and internal coordination meetings while maintaining customer communication and satisfaction.
• Manage project risk, quality, safety, testing, commissioning, progress billing, collections support, punch lists, and final close-out.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or construction management, plus at least 10 years of construction industry or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of basic engineering, electricity, mechanical HVAC systems, building construction, temperature controls, process control systems, and energy management systems.
• Experience leading technically complex construction projects, multiple subcontractors, vendors, stakeholders, budgets, schedules, and customer interfaces.
• Ability to prioritize independently, manage projects in a disciplined manner, and maintain high standards of ethics, trust, and personal responsibility.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Thursday, work from the Albany or Syracuse office, and travel to customer sites as required.

Nice to have

• OSHA 10 certification; OSHA 30 is preferred.
• Experience with financially guaranteed contracts, energy management systems, HVAC systems, temperature controls, and process control systems.
