Contract Sensory Panelist (Fragrance)

Location: On-site in Elizabeth, NJ, United States; available 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. Complimentary shuttle service is available from Brooklyn and Newark, NJ.

Salary: $30 per hour for 4 hours of evaluation.

What you will do

• Smell and evaluate fragrance samples in multiple formats during dedicated evaluation sessions.
• Generate character and intensity annotations using internal scales and olfactive taxonomies.
• Track the evolution, stability, integrity, and performance of odor profiles over time.
• Follow established sensory evaluation protocols and maintain objective, consistent assessments.
• Attend calibration and training sessions to stay aligned with the sensory panel.

Requirements

• Must pass a sensory acuity screening.
• Must work on-site in Elizabeth, NJ, and be available 6 hours per day, 5 days per week.
• Ability to sustain concentration during long, repetitive sensory tasks.
• Methodical and objective approach to analytical sensory assessment.
• Ability to learn internal scales and complex olfactive taxonomies quickly.
• Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

• Deep curiosity about fragrance or olfactory science.
• Descriptive vocabulary beyond simple like/dislike assessments.
• Background or interest in chemistry, biology, or psychology.
