Strategic Insights Associate, Data Analytics

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are required in the office for team meetings and events.

Salary: $101,844.00–$133,670.25 per year, plus eligible bonuses and employee benefits.

What you will do

• Own insight generation and follow-up for a major business unit, serving as a point of contact for senior stakeholders.
• Analyze financial, utilization, and operational data to support data-driven business decisions.
• Translate analysis into clear, concise, and compelling presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Define requirements for improving operational and analytical dashboards as user needs evolve.
• Develop models and tools to identify healthcare inefficiencies and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with managers and senior managers to implement actions and monitor initiative impact.

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical experience using analytical tools and preparing analytical reports.
• 2+ years of experience working with large datasets and distilling analysis into relevant insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including at least 5 examples of presenting analysis to Director-level or higher leadership.
• 2+ years of experience with SQL, including filtering, aggregation, and CTEs, or proficiency in R or Python with Pandas, loops, and statistical tests.
• 1+ years of experience with Google Sheets or Excel, including VLOOKUP, nested IF statements, and connected Sheets.
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare, finance, or insurance.

Nice to have

• Healthcare analytics and reporting experience.
• Experience managing value-based contracts at a payer or provider organization.
• Experience developing dashboards with Looker or other business intelligence and data visualization tools.
• Exposure to healthcare contract negotiations, risk adjustment, ACA marketplace, quality of care, or population health.
