Senior Product Manager (Logging & Streaming Data Platform)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; hybrid schedule with three days onsite per week.

Base salary: $153,000–$247,500 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, and work location.

What you will do

• Own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for Strata Logging Service and related logging and telemetry platform capabilities.
• Define requirements for real-time ingestion, streaming processing, storage, retention, forwarding, data onboarding, schemas, and delivery recovery.
• Partner with engineering on tradeoffs involving throughput, latency, freshness, durability, availability, reliability, and cloud infrastructure cost.
• Develop a three-to-five-year platform vision and convert it into prioritized roadmap increments and measurable outcomes.
• Engage enterprise customers, network and security administrators, partners, and field teams to translate operational needs into product requirements.
• Lead capabilities from discovery through launch, adoption, optimization, customer enablement, and cross-functional delivery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience, including ownership of technical enterprise software, SaaS, or cloud platform products.
• Product ownership experience with logging, telemetry, observability, streaming data, security data, or comparable high-volume data platforms.
• Experience defining real-time or near-real-time ingestion and processing requirements with downstream storage or data delivery.
• Ability to discuss distributed data pipelines, throughput, latency, schema evolution, retention, reliability, and cost with engineering teams.
• Experience with product strategy, discovery, prioritization, delivery, launch, adoption, customer feedback, usage data, and platform metrics.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, equivalent practical experience, or equivalent military experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with network security, firewalls, security operations, SIEM, security analytics, or observability platforms.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, or comparable event-streaming technologies.
• Experience with data lakes, high-volume telemetry storage, APIs, log forwarding, external integrations, or data export.
• Experience with data governance, access controls, tenant isolation, compliance, or AI-enabled analytics and automation.
