Staff Product Manager (Data Protection)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Jose, California, USA, with 3 days onsite

Base salary: $164,000–$205,000 USD per year, excluding bonus, equity, commissions, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Data Security products, including Web DLP and Email DLP.
• Define, document, and prioritize product requirements using market research, competitive insights, and customer feedback.
• Partner with Engineering, UX, Support, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to deliver products from concept through production.
• Support product deployment and sales enablement across beta and production environments.
• Drive go-to-market plans and measure product adoption and success.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience delivering cybersecurity solutions.
• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions.
• Experience with Data Loss Prevention and data classification products, including legacy tools and modern AI-based classification methods.
• Strong technical foundation in Data Security, Email, Proxy, CASB, DSPM, and adjacent technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills across technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience building roadmaps for Data Security, DLP, or AI-based automated data classification solutions.
• Technical degree or hands-on engineering background.
• Knowledge of browsers, browser plugins, endpoint agents, security frameworks, and compliance standards.
