Business Operations Specialist

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; ability to travel between offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington, DC up to once a month is required.

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 base compensation per year, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Translate company-level goals into functional objectives and measurable deliverables with business units.
• Design systems for calculating, tracking, and reporting business metrics.
• Analyze results and recommend improvements across business areas.
• Become a subject matter expert quickly and help teams establish an operating cadence.
• Resolve execution friction between teams and drive accountability without direct authority.
• Support executive leadership with preparation, analysis, and follow-through as a trusted operator.

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of experience in operations, strategy, program management, consulting, or another high-execution role.
• Exceptional cross-functional coordination, executive communication, written clarity, and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical and structured thinking, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to work with incomplete data.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and comfort with quantitative analysis.
• Ability to push senior leaders constructively and influence people without direct authority.
• Ability and willingness to travel between US offices up to once a month.

Nice to have

• Background in hardware, defense, aerospace, infrastructure, or complex technology environments.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry, Python, or other data and analytics platforms.
• Practical experience using AI tools, LLM assistants, or AI-enabled analysis tools.
