Vehicle Integration Lead (Autonomous Driving)

Location: Full-time hybrid role based in Sunnyvale, California, USA. The role combines in-person collaboration in offices and vehicle workshops with focused remote work. Relocation support and visa sponsorship are available where applicable.

Base salary: $314,700–$408,100 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead electrical architecture, mechanical design, and vehicle integration for autonomous driving hardware across development and production-intent vehicle platforms.
• Own integration from requirements and architecture through prototype builds, bring-up, validation, production readiness, and deployment.
• Integrate compute platforms, cameras, radar, lidar, GNSS, IMUs, ECUs, power systems, vehicle networks, wiring harnesses, connectors, and custom electronics.
• Define system requirements, interfaces, architecture, integration strategies, and verification and validation plans.
• Lead design reviews, technical trade-offs, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and vehicle-level commissioning.
• Coordinate with Systems Engineering, Software, Autonomy, Safety, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, OEMs, suppliers, and integration partners.

Requirements

• Significant experience in electrical and mechanical engineering, vehicle integration, autonomous vehicles, ADAS, robotics, or advanced mobility.
• Deep knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic architectures, power distribution, ECUs, sensors, CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, wiring, connectors, PCBAs, EMC/EMI, grounding, and signal and power integrity.
• Hands-on experience with debugging, bring-up, root-cause analysis, vehicle schematics, wiring diagrams, interface control documents, diagnostic tools, and vehicle networks.
• Experience taking vehicle hardware from requirements and architecture through prototype integration, validation, and production readiness.
• Experience working with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, upfitters, contract manufacturers, or vehicle integration partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience developing autonomous driving or ADAS platforms and integrating high-performance AI compute into vehicles.
• Experience with perception systems, ISO 26262 functional safety, automotive cybersecurity, vehicle diagnostics, automated validation, EMC/EMI, and environmental qualification.
• Experience transitioning prototypes into repeatable production builds and supporting vehicle fleets in real-world operation.
• Experience adapting autonomous driving systems across multiple OEM vehicle architectures.
