Automation Technician (Robotics)

Location: Anaheim, California, United States; onsite work at the retail shop and customer facilities

Salary: $38.00–$44.00 per hour

What you will do

• Service, install, troubleshoot, and repair plasma, oxy/fuel cutting systems, robots, and hard automation equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, component upgrades, testing, calibration, and machine operation according to manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues at customer sites and collaborate on solutions for cutting systems, components, and robots.
• Provide customer guidance and training while building trusted customer relationships.
• Complete service documentation and expense reports accurately and on time.
• Attend two weeks of company-paid training each year.

Requirements

• Must work onsite in Anaheim and at customer facilities.
• At least three years of advanced automation service experience, or two years of mechanical repair experience plus completion of the hirify.global Automation Technician Apprenticeship program.
• Broad knowledge of manual, semi-automated, and automated welding, cutting, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of welding and power equipment from multiple suppliers.
• Commitment to safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.

Nice to have

• High school diploma with an associate degree in industrial electronics or electrical engineering, or mechanical technical school training.
• Experience with automation motion devices, robotics software, and controllers.
• Ability to apply mathematical formulas for process cost analysis and comparisons.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
