Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (Utilities)

Location: Hybrid role based at an SCE facility in Rosemead, California; employees are required to work and reside in California unless otherwise noted.

Salary: $182,800–$274,100 per year

What you will do

• Lead financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and long-term forecasting activities.
• Manage the construction and analysis of cash flows, financial statements, reports, and recommendations.
• Develop rating agency forecasts, financial models, capital project analyses, and financing materials.
• Support internal and external audits, General Rate Case preparation, and CPUC/FERC regulatory filings.
• Prepare presentations for board, shareholder, rating agency, senior leadership, and strategic committee meetings.
• Coach and develop analysts and advisors while improving financial planning processes, standards, and controls.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience supervising direct reports and/or managing projects.
• Experience with finance, budgeting, financial forecasting, financial modeling, reporting, or accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, finance, accounting, economics, or a related technical discipline.
• Ability to communicate complex finance issues to senior management and analyze complex financial, tax, regulatory, and business problems.
• Must work and reside in California and report to an SCE facility for a set number of days each week.

Nice to have

• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
• Experience with debt or equity financings.
• Experience in utility financial modeling or accounting.
• Experience performing financial planning and capital analysis for complex projects.
