Director, Infrastructure & Cybersecurity (MedTech)

What you will do

• Own the architecture, deployment, operation, lifecycle management, and modernization of network, server, storage, endpoint, virtualization, cloud, backup, and recovery environments.
• Lead infrastructure continuity for manufacturing, quality, and commercial operations, including disaster recovery, business continuity, capacity planning, and service desk performance.
• Establish standards for plant-floor IT and OT environments, including network segmentation, patching, monitoring, backup, and remote access.
• Own the cybersecurity program across identity and access management, endpoint and network defense, logging, vulnerability management, incident response, risk assessment, and third-party risk.
• Maintain controls for validated and GxP-relevant systems, electronic records and signatures, change control, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Lead infrastructure and security teams, manage operating and capital budgets, oversee vendors, and communicate technology risk to executives and business leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, including at least 5 years leading teams.
• Direct ownership of both infrastructure operations and a cybersecurity program.
• Working depth across networking, servers and storage, virtualization, Microsoft 365, Azure or comparable cloud platforms, and backup and recovery.
• Experience with recognized security frameworks, risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, formal change control, documentation, budgets, and vendors.
• Ability to work onsite in Gainesville, Florida, in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Medical device, pharmaceutical, or other FDA-regulated manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 11, 21 CFR Part 820, QMSR, ISO 13485, HIPAA, GDPR, or EU MDR requirements.
• Experience securing manufacturing or OT environments and supporting ERP or MES platforms.
• CISSP, CISM, CISA, PMP, or an equivalent credential.
• Experience in a private equity-backed or acquisitive company.
