Senior Structural Engineer – Building Systems

Location: Columbus, Ohio, United States preferred; hybrid workplace with flexibility for a fully remote arrangement for the right candidate.

What you will do

• Perform structural analysis and design for building systems and related infrastructure projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Develop design concepts and practical engineering solutions for new and existing structures.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders throughout project phases.
• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observations as needed.
• Support project schedules, budgets, deliverable quality, code compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• Experience in structural engineering or related building design.
• Engineer-in-Training certification required; actively pursuing Professional Engineer licensure or having passed the PE exam.
• Proficiency with structural analysis, design, and drafting software.
• Working knowledge of applicable building codes and structural design standards.
• Strong technical, analytical, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with CAD and Revit.
