Global Mobility Specialist

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; onsite role

Salary: $110,000–$165,000 base compensation per year

What you will do

• Coordinate domestic and international relocations, visa and work permit applications, immigration compliance, and assignment documentation.
• Support employees and their families with relocation policies, benefits, housing, shipping, schooling, and assignment logistics.
• Manage cases with immigration counsel, relocation vendors, tax advisors, HR business partners, and hiring managers.
• Track assignment timelines, visa expirations, renewals, records, and status reporting.
• Support assignment cost projections, budget tracking, tax gross-up calculations, and relocation benefit administration.
• Monitor changes in immigration law, tax treaties, and social security agreements while improving mobility processes and policies.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in global mobility, immigration, HR, or relocation services.
• Working knowledge of visa and immigration processes and compliance requirements for at least one major region, such as the US, EU, or APAC.
• Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented approach.
• Cross-cultural sensitivity, discretion with confidential employee information, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Vendor and stakeholder management experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with third-party immigration law firms or relocation management companies.
• Familiarity with tax equalization and tax protection concepts.
• Global Mobility certification, such as GMS from Worldwide ERC.
• Experience supporting assignments across multiple regions and time zones.
