System Integration Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, USA; hybrid role with office, workshop, and remote work

Salary: $246,400–$289,900 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Integrate and bring up autonomous systems on internal and partner vehicles.
• Architect, prototype, and evaluate new hardware systems.
• Assemble and test complex hardware/software systems in vehicles and on development benches.
• Bring up and maintain development benches and Hardware-in-the-Loop systems.
• Support fleet troubleshooting, issue resolution, and improvements to system integration workflows.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience integrating and developing complex systems.
• Broad technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
• Hands-on experience debugging and assembling hardware/software systems.
• Strong multidisciplinary troubleshooting, ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, or other advanced systems.
• Experience prototyping electronics, wire harnesses, and custom hardware components.
• Comfort working in Linux environments and with scripting tools.
• Ability to read code in C++, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with testing, flashing, issue triage, suppliers, or contract manufacturers.
