Vehicle Generalization Engineer (Autonomous Driving)

What you will do

• Debug and stabilize new autonomous-vehicle platforms during bring-up and deployment.
• Analyze telemetry, sensor data, logs, and vehicle behavior to identify root causes.
• Tune controls, localization, odometry, sensor fusion, and state-estimation systems.
• Build metrics and tooling to measure vehicle-to-vehicle variability and generalization.
• Prototype debugging utilities and fixes in C++ and Python.
• Collaborate with controls, vehicle dynamics, measurement, integration, and application-engineering teams while supporting customer programs.

Requirements

• High proficiency in C++ and practical experience using Python for analysis and prototyping.
• At least 3 years of hands-on robotics, autonomy, or automotive experience.
• Practical experience with controls, state estimation, localization, odometry, or sensor fusion.
• Ability to diagnose complex integration issues using data, systems thinking, and direct platform interaction.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and communicate effectively across technical teams.
• Willingness to work hands-on in Sunnyvale and travel domestically or internationally for customer and vehicle support.
