Senior Autonomy Engineer - Positioning (Robotics)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; onsite five days a week. Up to 10% travel is required. Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $112,710–$183,140 per year.

What you will do

• Research and design localization algorithms for autonomous and semiautonomous systems.
• Develop production-quality C++ software, including design, documentation, coding, quality, and validation.
• Estimate absolute and relative position and altitude using perception, inertial, and GNSS inputs.
• Contribute to localization requirements, system architecture, functional safety design, and validation.
• Prototype algorithms and transition successful solutions into production systems.
• Collaborate with and mentor localization team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in robotics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
• At least four years of robotics or autonomous-systems experience.
• Strong C++ proficiency and fluency in Python, with experience developing, debugging, and deploying production-quality software.
• Experience implementing Error State, Kalman, and Extended Kalman filtering solutions.
• Knowledge of inertial measurement technology, inertial-based navigation or guidance systems, robotics frameworks such as ROS, and real-time systems.
• Strong foundations in 3D geometry, linear algebra, statistical error modeling, coordinate transformations, physics-based modeling, vehicle modeling, and dynamics.
