Vice President (Transportation Finance)

Location: New York, NY, United States; office-based position

Base salary: $250,000–$300,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the origination, design, and structural engineering of complex securitizations and asset-based financing transactions.
• Develop customized capital structures that optimize leverage, amortization, and pricing for transportation clients.
• Direct end-to-end transaction execution, including due diligence, credit approvals, structuring, offering materials, and asset stratifications.
• Negotiate credit agreements, indentures, offering memorandums, and related legal documentation with internal and external counsel.
• Manage rating agency processes, cash flow model reviews, structuring presentations, investor marketing, and deal roadshows.
• Coordinate with IBD Classic coverage, Global Markets, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations while overseeing junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience leading deal teams of analysts and associates.
• Understanding of transaction cycles, structured finance processes, and deal execution.
• Strong verbal and written communication, judgment, attention to detail, integrity, initiative, and leadership.
• Ability to build relationships and work with professionals across the firm and external clients.
• Well-rounded academic background from a top-tier institution.
