Customer Data Services Specialist

Location: New York or San Francisco, United States; in-office four days per week

Fixed-term position starting at the beginning of January 2027, with a minimum commitment of four months and a possible extension of up to three additional months.

hirify.global provides an enterprise sustainability platform for managing climate and ESG data, producing audit-ready reporting metrics, and supporting corporate decarbonization.

What you will do

• Clean and transform customer business data into hirify.global templates.
• Partner with customers to understand raw data and recommend preparation practices.
• Explain data issues, impacts, options, and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Assess and execute data-cleaning approaches using sound judgment.
• Document data decisions and manipulations for traceability during third-party verification.
• Synthesize customer feedback to improve processes and inform product development.

Requirements

• Up to two years of experience working with large data files in Excel, including internships, co-ops, or academic projects.
• Ability to work with complex, messy data and make it clean, structured, and trustworthy.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to validate completed work.
• Ability to connect spreadsheet data to real-world business concepts and create concrete data frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to work from the New York or San Francisco office four days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or SQL.
