Operations Analyst (Utilities)

Location: Fully onsite in Norfolk, Virginia, United States; rotating shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay range: $25–$28

What you will do

• Analyze customer calls and computer data to identify the location and cause of power outages.
• Dispatch first-response personnel and repair crews to outage and emergency locations.
• Perform ARCOS callouts for service restoration, emergencies, planned overtime, and fill-shifts.
• Manage multiple tasks from start to finish while prioritizing changing operational needs.
• Provide customer service support to internal and external clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong analytical skills for processing large data sets and creating action plans.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior dispatch experience, such as in a 911 operations center or utility operations center.
• Ability to lead, collaborate, and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
