Senior Staff Prototyping Engineer (iOS)

Location: Remote within California, San Francisco Metro

Salary: $263,200–$401,400 annual base salary in select cities within the San Francisco metropolitan area. The typical range is $218,400–$365,200 annually.

What you will do

• Lead engineering development for new hirify.global mobile experiences used by millions of people.
• Drive complex, ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from technical exploration through production rollout and long-term evolution.
• Prototype features that define the mobile user experience for major product opportunities.
• Partner with Product and Design to balance user needs, technical constraints, and maintainability.
• Influence engineering decisions through technical leadership, product reviews, mentorship, and mobile development best practices.
• Mentor senior engineers and contribute to the broader mobile engineering community.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience building complex iOS applications at scale.
• Deep expertise in Swift frameworks and modern iOS development.
• Strong knowledge of iOS architecture, application lifecycle, concurrency, networking, and performance optimization.
• Experience leading ambiguous, organization-wide technical initiatives with significant business impact.
• Ability to influence product and technical direction across executive stakeholders and Engineering, Product, Design, and multiple teams.
• Strong ownership, execution, prioritization, and continuous-improvement skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Combine, Swift Concurrency, async/await, actors, and dependency injection frameworks such as Needle or Resolver.
• Experience leading large-scale products, features, or transformations across multiple teams.
• Experience using research, usability testing, data, and experimentation to guide product decisions.
• Open-source or iOS community contributions and external recognition of technical leadership.
• Experience with collaboration, productivity, messaging, AI, or enterprise software products.
