Software Engineer, Android, Level 5

Location: Bellevue, Los Angeles, New York, Palo Alto, or San Francisco, United States; office presence expected 4+ days per week

Base salary: $178,000–$313,000 annually, depending on pay zone, with eligibility for RSUs.

What you will do

• Build smooth, stable, and engaging Android products and user experiences.
• Develop features from design through implementation and launch.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs and collaborate with design on UI and infrastructure practices.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, security, and production readiness.
• Use AI tools and high-velocity engineering workflows to design and ship scalable services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience, or an equivalent graduate-degree pathway.
• Professional experience with Android application development.
• Experience with Kotlin, Java, RxJava, Dagger, and related Android development tools.
• Ability to assess AI-generated output for architectural integrity, performance bottlenecks, and security risks.
• Ability to work from a hirify.global office 4+ days per week in one of the listed United States locations.
