Software Engineer, iOS, Level 4 (Objective-C)

Location: Bellevue, Los Angeles, New York, Palo Alto, or San Francisco, United States. The default-together policy expects employees to work in an office 4+ days per week.

Base salary: $133,000–$235,000 annually, depending on pay zone, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The position is also eligible for RSUs.

What you will do

• Create and refine high-performance mobile applications and stable hirify.globalchat products.
• Design, architect, and implement well-tested Objective-C software powering camera experiences.
• Conceptualize, develop, and launch new features.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs and collaborate with Design on UI and infrastructure practices.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold code quality, security, correctness, and production readiness.
• Use AI tools and high-velocity engineering workflows to build scalable services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of post-Bachelor's software development experience, or an equivalent advanced-degree pathway.
• Experience developing iOS applications.
• Understanding of the Objective-C runtime, OS internals, compilers, algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.
• Proficiency with multithreading and performance optimization for iOS and mobile systems.
• Ability to use AI tools critically and assess generated output for architecture, performance, and security risks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Objective-C, iOS, Swift, C, C++, OpenGL, or Metal.
