Senior Product Designer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States, or Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Base salary: CAD $156,800–$224,000 in Canada or USD $209,200–$298,800 in the United States.

What you will do

• Identify real customer problems and design simple experiences that solve them.
• Shape product flows, including structure, sequence, interactions, and transitions between steps.
• Remove unnecessary complexity and create clear, elegant, and fluid experiences.
• Use AI to expand creative exploration while retaining design judgment.
• Move work between the canvas and interactive prototypes to validate and refine the intended experience.
• Collaborate with the broader team to solve product problems from the beginning of the direction-setting process.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing consumer products.
• A portfolio demonstrating product flows, structure, sequencing, and simple solutions to difficult problems.
• Strong understanding of interaction design and whether users understand the product experience.
• High standards for customer experience, with strong judgment and comfort working through ambiguity.
• Experience using AI as part of the design process while retaining ownership of decisions.
• Ability to communicate decisions, constraints, and tradeoffs clearly in writing.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping products or experiences in spare time.
