What you will do

• Produce daily newscasts for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Write, order, and approve news stories, teases, and other broadcast content.
• Balance news and feature content to create compelling programs.
• Time news programs and edit video for broadcast and online publication.
• Write stories for the website and other eMedia platforms.
• Interact with viewers and users through social media.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Fluent English and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• At least two years of experience in news operations, depending on market size.
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work any shift.
