Editor and Photographer

What you will do

• Shoot and edit assigned, breaking-news, and special-assignment stories using ENG cameras and non-linear editing equipment.
• Provide broadcast footage, short videos, and social media content from the field.
• Set up and operate microwave ENG trucks and LiveU equipment.
• Maintain news vehicles and production equipment, including routine maintenance and light troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with reporters, producers, editors, photographers, engineering, production teams, officials, and the public.
• Travel for special assignments and work in outdoor, inclement-weather, and breaking-news conditions.

Requirements

• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
• At least 2 years of experience as a news photographer in television news or a similar environment.
• High school diploma required; journalism, radio/television, production/ENG, or related college or technical training preferred.
• Strong storytelling, problem-solving, organization, multitasking, and communication skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Must be willing to work from the San Antonio office, hold a Texas driver's license with a clean driving record, and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds, sit for long periods, work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, and work outdoors in inclement weather.
