Senior Program Buyer (Automotive)

Location: Ciudad Juarez, Mexico; full-time, onsite role.

What you will do

• Act as the SCM interface for direct-material topics throughout the Program Development Process.
• Represent SCM in program meetings, reviews, and development activities while ensuring timely delivery of SCM work packages.
• Coordinate purchasing activities for new program launches, ongoing program support, supplier performance, and customer milestones.
• Develop material cost plans, target component prices, cost-reduction initiatives, recovery plans, and best-cost component options.
• Analyze program BOM material content and manage purchasing-related engineering changes, model-year changes, and new parts.
• Lead development partner selection, RFQs, supplier discussions, capacity confirmation, and communication between suppliers, engineering, quality, and purchasing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• English proficiency of approximately 80% or higher.
• More than 10 years of experience as a Program Buyer or in a related position.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong teamwork and cross-functional communication skills.
