Technology Category Manager (Hardware, Telecom & Software)

Location: Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico. First shift, Mexico. Relocation is not available.

What you will do

• Lead analysis of commodity data, industry trends, and supply chain sub-categories for hardware, telecom, and software.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business priorities and supplier strategies.
• Lead strategic procurement projects and support procurement activities across the designated line of business.
• Use supply chain and financial modeling to manage supply chain activities and evaluate cost-effectiveness.
• Participate in supplier selection, assess category supply bases, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance.
• Identify contract risks and execute risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and operations strategies.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated competence.
• Typically 4–7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field; an advanced degree with 3–5 years of experience may also qualify.
• Experience supporting cross-functional teams, procurement planning, supplier assessment, and contract negotiation.
• Ability to respond to moderately complex issues within established guidelines and facilitate team decision-making.
• Effective communication, results orientation, learning agility, digital fluency, and customer centricity.
