RAN Research Engineer / Scientist (Wireless)

Location: Melville, New York, or Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, United States

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 annually in New York, plus discretionary incentive bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop advanced terminal technologies and wireless systems primarily in the RAN area.
• Conduct internal technology development aligned with broader project objectives.
• Support project deliverable reviews, approvals, and representation of company positions in collaborative projects.
• Contribute standard inputs, industry publications, and intellectual property in areas of expertise.
• Communicate project activities across internal teams and engage with research communities, consortia, and industry forums.

Requirements

• Experience in 5G-Advanced or 6G wireless research and laboratory prototyping.
• Advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar field; strong MSc candidates with equivalent academic or industrial experience may be considered.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to balance theoretical rigor with practical implementation.

Nice to have

• PhD completed within the last five years or near completion.
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning techniques applied to communication systems.
• Record of publications, standardization contributions, talks, or panel participation.
